Interactive media design - web
Designing a story
I developed graphics for an interactive media report to delve in the story, fanaticism, and mystery behind SF Chinatown's famous Golden Gate Bakery.

Full Perspective

For the design decisions here, red is the primary color due to its importance in the Chinese culture as a symbol of celebration and prosperity. The simple design style, with visible sketches and natural brushmarks, resonates with the bakery's familiar aspect and the surrounding community.
In the interactive website, this big image was zoomed in as you learn more about the bakery and meet influential personalities for this story - something that portrays the experience of being first overwhelmed by all Chinatown information and then learning about its people. I also added a personal touch with uncountable easter eggs talking about the memories of my group - have fun looking for them!
As the design leader for this project, I was reunited with a journalism and a computer science students to develop the interactive media report. We each led our expertise but experimented and worked alongside the others to guarantee a cohesive result.
